SCHOOL

To dream of solving an addition math problem represents a difficult situation or problem that's focused on the outcome or result of merging or managing two aspects of your life. Feelings of figuring out what the outcome or result will be due to more of something. Feelings about challenges that require a careful approach to integrating details or managing multiple aspects at once. To dream of a backpack represents self-sufficiency. An area of your life where you are doing something on your own. It may also reflect problems that you have to deal with all by yourself. Doing your own thing.

To dream of a boarding school represents social concerns, anxieties, or something you care about that you can't take a break from.  You may feel like your're stuck with a problem.

Books

To dream of books represents ideas, information, insights, or answers. It may also reflect what you tell yourself to do when a specific situation or problem arises. Consider a book's title, subject, color for additional meaning.

To dream of books on a shelf represents ideas, information, or insights that you have yet to use. Answers or knowledge you can go to when needed. Ideas you have yet to discover or that you are beginning to explore.

To dream of an overdue book represents a feeling of responsibility or obligation to give someone else the answers they need. It may also reflect your sense of being late for a school project or work report. Alternatively, it may represent your anxiety about a deadline or need to return something to someone.

Example: A man dreamed of happily looking through a book where he saw someone being killed. In waking life he kept telling himself that if an enemy threatened him once more he could have him beaten up in certain ways. Bookshelf

To dream of a bookshelf on it's own represents your plans for the future.

To dream of books on a shelf represents ideas, information, or insights that you have yet to discover or that you are beginning to explore. It may also reflect ideas, answers, or methods that you are waiting to try.

It may be a sign that you are looking for answers to a problems, studying something new, or that you need to acquire some information or knowledge in a situation before making decisions.

Example: A woman dreamed of her bookshelf becoming warped and separating. In waking life her marriage was coming apart along with all her future plans for the marriage.

Bully

To dream of a bully represents people or situations that you feel are intentionally keeping you down or threatening you for doing what you like. It may also reflect a person or situation that you feel is too difficult to confront.

Not standing up to a bully represents you backing down from a threat or challenge.

If you do stand up to a bully it symbolizes confronting problems, and overcoming fear. You may have finally gotten to the courage to do something.

To dream of being a bully represents arrogance or feelings of being invincible. You may have a fear of losing control. It may also reflect a lack of respect for others.

Example: A young man dreamed of bullies threatening him. In waking life his parents had threatened to call the police on an employer if ever tried to get a job with them.

Cafeteria

To dream of a cafeteria represents issues, interests, or situations where other people are noticing what your doing. Mutual awareness of each other others interests or problems. Group sharing, group experiences, or unavoidable openness (e.g. discussing your love life). Casual and mutual awareness of others feelings about an experience.

Negatively, dreaming about a cafeteria may reflect embarrassment that your personal life being on display to others. A embarrassing moment of public honesty in front of friends or family.

An empty cafeteria may reflect your feeling that nobody cares about an issue in your life that can hide or that you feel you have to openly discuss (relationship problems). Alternatively, it may reflect you feelings that some area of your life will be out in the open soon.

A school cafeteria represents mutual open discussion about issues that concern you or give you anxiety (openly discussing your mutual anxiety about potential lovers rejecting you).

Example: A young woman dreamed of being in a cafeteria with a guy she liked. In waking life she was trying to closer to this guy and all her friends and family knew about it.

Example 2: A girl dreamed of being in a cafeteria and being upset with her friend. In waking life she liked the same guy as the her friend and after talking about it with her started to notice her friend getting meaner. The cafeteria reflected her awareness of her friend noticing that he liked the same guy and their open discussion about their shared fondness for the guy.

Example 3: A man dreamed of seeing bankers sitting in a cafeteria. In waking life he was being humiliated by his father in front of his whole family because his father had made an enormous financial promise that he wasn't keeping and that required the dreamer to publicly reveal his personal issues with his father to his whole family.

Example 4: A man dreamed of being in a cafeteria. In waking life he was separated from his wife with everyone he knew being aware of it. The cafeteria may have reflected his feelings about his failing relationship experience being out in the open while noticing that other people relationship experiences weren't.

Calculator

To dream of a calculator represents carefully evaluating an issue or situation.  You may want to make sure of something, consider alternative options, or reexamine beliefs and opinions.  

A calculator may reflect doubts, or new developments that interest you in weighing or reconsidering choices.

Example:  A young man dreamed of being given a calculator by a friend.  In waking life he was planning on asking out girl he thought liked him before finding out that she didn't. The calculator reflected the information he received that made he rethink his plans.

Calculus

To dream of calculus represents a very difficult life situation that is totally unforgiving to any mistakes, or wrong choices.  A situation where you have to be absolutely perfect the entire time.

Chalkboard


To dream of a chalkboard represents an open or receptive attitude to new ideas, brainstorming, or figuring something out. You may be considering options, theorizing, experimenting, or trying to come up with creative solutions to problems. A formal approach to learning or problem-solving. Seeking clarity and understanding in a particular situation, or that you are ready to impart your knowledge or ideas to others. A chalkboard is a sign that you're working towards an answer, or that you're open to a number of possibilities. Seeking a solution that would allow you to manage a sitution effectively. Efforts to weigh the pros and cons of different choices and brainstorm the best path forward.

Negatively, dreaming about a chalkboard may represent brainstorming or presenting ideas that you feel you have to think about or worry about. It may also reflect a selfish or jealous concern for brainstorming a problem. The need to be open to change, adaptable, and not to get too attached to specific outcomes or ideas.

Classmates

To dream of classmates that you remember from school symbolizes aspects of your personality based on your most honest feelings or memories of that person.  Ask yourself what qualities stand out the most about that person and see how that quality may apply to current relationships, or life situations.  Are you thinking or acting in way that is similar to to them?

To dream of classmates that you don't recognize symbolizes aspects of your personality that are exposed to the same concerns or anxiety as you. A thinking style or situation that may be noticing in yourself while dealing with a problem.  The classmate's actions, words, clothing, skin color, or physical appearance can provide further insight.

Alternatively, classmates may reflect aspects of your own personality while you are attending school. Feelings about yourself academic performance.

Example: A young woman dreamed of a classmate kissing her. This classmare was someone who she felt used to be intelligent and then slowly revealed themselves to be unintelligent. In waking life she was having problems at Univiersity and her grades were getting worse. She initially beleived she would do well in university and then was surprised to find that university was much more diffcult then she expected.

Classrooms

To dream of classrooms represents an interest in learning about yourself, personal growth, or finding solutions to problems or questions. You may have a concern about a specific subject or issue.

To dream of sitting in the back of a classroom may represent an issue that concerns you, but that you don't want to draw attention to.

To dream of being closer to the front of a classroom than other people may reflect feelings about having more concern or anxiety about an issue than other people. Feelings that it's more important for you to pay attention or work hard on a problem than it is for others.

The subject of a classroom represents the manner, method, or direction you are thinking. A theme to concerns, issues you care about, or situations that are sensitive. For example, history classes may reflect the reexamining of your past and math classes your attempts to solve a difficult problem. Geography may symbolize experiencing life from different perspectives, and science may represent experimentation with new ideas.

The grade number of elementary school classrooms may use numerology to communicate the manner in which you are thinking. For example grade 5 classrooms may represent changes you are experiencing in life, while grade 2 classrooms may represent issues or situations that you are conflicted about.

To dream of classrooms that you don't recognize represents a new or open-minded approach to problems. You may be trying new things.

Example: A man dreamed of being in a grade 13 classroom where an old friend was sitting closer to the front than he was. In waking life he became extremely rich during an economic crisis than his friend. The classroom may have reflected his feelings about having to be concerned a lot about the economic crisis and the seating positions may have reflected his feelings about comparing his anxiety to his friends anxiety as his friend had to worry about economic crises a lot more than he did.

Class Schedule

To dream of a class schedule represents a plan of action, agenda, or goals as you face anxieties or deal with issues that are important to you.

To dream of losing or forgetting your class schedule represents distractions, unexpected surprises, or giving up on plans.

College

To dream of college represents issues or situations in your life that you are giving serious thought that benefit you and increase your status or power.  It can also represent well-earned relaxation, success, or compensation for hard work.

College in a dream may be a sign that you are very busy or focused on an issue that is allowing you to improve yourself or benefit in some way.  You may want to show off your skills or take a well deserved break.

To dream of crayons represents issues that you want no responsibility or obligations with.  A desire to be carefree.  You may want the freedom to do as you please, make mistakes, or experiment without consequences.  Crayons may also reflect a lack of concern for what other people think.

School

To dream of a school most often represents social concerns, insecurities, or anxieties. Worrying. Anxiety about how well you are being perceived by others, or how well you are performing in life. There is something happening in your life that you are sensitive about, or that's very important to be to careful about.

Schools symbolize a state of mind when you are caring about what you are thinking. You may have issues at work, or other areas of your life that are weighing heavily on your mind. You are concerned about something.

Positively, schools may reflect your concern with work or long term projects being perfectly accurate. Carefully thinking about what you are thinking. Enjoying learning something difficult. Learning about your problems, your past, or how to improve yourself. A school dream may also appear if you are an expert at something and are very concerned about potential mistakes. Analyzing written work, theories, or ideas.

Negatively, dreams about schools may reflect heightened levels of anxiety or prolonged periods of fear. An unbearable problem that you can't stop worrying about. Attending specific classes in a school may represent the manner in which you are thinking. For example, history classes may reflect the reexamining of your past and math classes your attempts to solve a difficult unforgiving problem that requires a perfect solution.

To dream of a school hallway represents anxiety or a concern about something that is important to you during a transitional moment. You may be concerned or worried about a change that you are making.

School hallways may also carry personal symbolism for current emotions based on memories you have had at specific spots inside the hallway. For example if someone hurt your feelings or made you concerned about what they thought in a certain location (hallway, doorway, or back of a room) in a dream it may reflect your concerns about what other people think.

Example 3: A man dreamed of standing on stairs inside a school looking at a shirt made of good material but looked like poor material. In waking life the person received some rather harsh criticism. To dream of a school bus represents a prolonged learning process that is preparing you for a more difficult situation. Getting prepared to concern yourself with something more serious. Preparing for a difficult or worrisome situation that is approaching.

Positively, a school bus may reflect a responsible long term attitude about being ready for situations that could be dangerous or serious. An attitude that doesn't waste time learning all it can to be prepared for a problem that is still a long time away.

To dream of people you want to date in a school uniform may reflect your concern about never embarrass yourself around them.

You might see a school uniform in a dream when you are going for a job interview or constantly trying to maintain a good impression with someone.

Science

To dream of science represents situations in your life that are experimental about problem-solving. Trying out new ideas, new habits, or new methods of dealing with problems. Experimenting with whether or not something will work. A learning process involving trial and error. You are learning from new experiences or methods. The dreamer's curiosity. The experimental nature of problem-solving in the dreamer's life. Situations where you are applying rationality, logic, and critical thinking to problems or decisions.

Scissors

To dream of scissors represents decisiveness, emotional separation from issues, or getting rid of something. You may be making a choice, or cutting something out of your life. It may also reflect some area of your life being severed.

Negatively, scissors in a dream could reflect a fear of being cut off or quickly "severed" from an area of your life. Fearing being fired too easily or broken up with by your partner without any discussion. A decisive action that is not in your best interest. Alternatively, from a negative perspective a pair of scissors in a dream may reflect your own insensitive actions to severe ties or relationships you don't want anymore. Sports (School)

To dream of playing sports at school represents anxieties or personal issues that you are struggling with.  You have concerns or interests that are presenting challenges to you in your life.  You may have anxiety or concerns about being the best that you can.

Example: A young woman dreamed of being in court over a student loan. In waking life she felt that she was being judged after getting advice about needing to get a pregnancy test done after spending too much time worrying about being pregnant and not taking any serious action to verify it with a test.

To dream of students represents aspects of your personality with issues that interest or worry you.  You are concerned about something or experiencing anxiety about something.

The clothes, skin color, actions, or words spoken by a student reflect how you are approaching an issue that concerns or worries you.

To dream of being a student reflects your concern or anxiety about certain issues or situations.  You care about what you are thinking or are worried about something.

To dream of studying represents your concern about doing something about a problem or issue that is important to you. Trying to find solutions or insight. Gaining better understanding about something.

Substitute Teacher

To dream of a substitute teacher represents a temporary or makeshift solution to a problem. Knowing the solution to your problem, but not having the access or resources you need right now to implement it. Noticing what you need to hold yourself over until you can fix your problem the right way.    Not feeling that you need to do what you are told "right now."

Negatively, a substitute teacher may reflect criminal or underhanded ways to avoid accepting a difficult reality or doing what you are told.

To dream of being a substitute teacher represents your feelings about being supportive or helpful to others until something more serious or important comes along. It may also be a sign that you are enjoying being allowed to help others in a small way. Negatively, being a substitute teacher may reflect feelings of being unappreciated or lacking respect for your assistance. Feeling that your ideas are a hard sell to others or not as incredible as someone else's ideas.

Teachers

To dream of a teacher represents the answer or solution to a problem you have. They are beliefs, knowledge, or your projection of a something that holds the perfect solution to a problem. To dream of kissing a teacher may reflect appreciation or approval of good advice. Liking someone that's helped you solve a problem.

To dream of having sex with a teacher may reflect waking life situations where you are having a really enjoyable experience listening to someone else's advice. It could reflect an enjoyable experience solving a problem or making a change you first believed would be horrible.

To dream of being a teacher may reflect feelings about how important it is to make others understand the truth. Situations where you feel the need to explain, instruct, or inform others.

Negatively, being a teacher may reflect problems with accepting others beliefs the way they are. Lecturing others when they aren't interested in listening to you. A desperate or pointless need to tell people the truth when those people don't respect you. Frustrations with being smarter or better informed that other people.

Example: A young woman dreamed of seeing a teacher comfort a crying girl on in a bathroom stall. The teacher was telling the crying girl that everything will be okay and that she went through something similar when she was younger. Example 3: A young man dreamed of being a teacher with no class showing up to see him. He felt it was impossible to reverse his bad reputation because people weren't respecting him at all. To dream of a test represents a challenging situation in your life. You may be having an experience that you've never had before, facing competition, or finding yourself in a situation with no guarantees. A situation may require you to demonstrate your abilities. A test could also reflect a fight, an ordeal, or a sense of pressure. A situation that you feel is testing you or placing your self-respect on the line.

To dream of failing a test represents a challenge, fight, or ordeal that you were unprepared for, gave in to, or choose to walk away from. You may not have done everything you could have to solve a problem or confront a challenge. The dream may also reflect your fear of failure.

To dream of doing well on a test represents your confidence, feelings of being ready, or that you ready to prove yourself. Feeling competent or proud of your outstanding performance in some area of your life. Negatively, performing well on a test may reflect arrogance or insensitivity towards others while you perform exceptionally at something. To dream of cheating on a test represents a lack of concern for ethics, honesty, or earning something on your own. To dream of being caught cheating on a test represents feelings of being forced to stop dishonest behavior. It may also reflect embarrassment, shame, or having done something with low standards. Being caught acting unprofessional.

To dream of having trouble finding a room the take your test in may reflect feelings about wanting to prove yourself, but not knowing how to go about it.

To dream of textbooks represents all known knowledge or experience about a subject or issue.  Everything you already know about an issue or problem that can be applied to a current life situation.  Learned methods, ideas, or approaches to dealing with problems.
