Subway Trains

To dream of a subway train represents a short-term progressive experience that isn't noticed by other people. An unstoppable progressive experience with repeating "doorways" of opportunity. A short-term progress experience or short-term focused goal that you don't care about talking to other people about. Keeping short-term fixes or solutions from getting any attention. Feeling that you can quietly or privately change something "at the next stop." Quick changes to fix a problem that you don't want other people aware of. A direction in life or long term goal that has regular breaks along the way. You may be working towards something or waiting for something with regularly stops or changes. A fast paced transition that require numerous pauses along the way. Professional changes that you don't want customers aware of. Your personal feelings about dating someone while you wait for something more serious. Feelings about living week to week or month to month paying bills.

Negatively, a subway train in a dream may reflect impatience at having to keep stopping during a very progressive experience. An unstoppable recurring experience you are having where other people may not be aware of you having it. Trying to do something quickly without other people seeing it. Disliking of having to feel that you are wasting any time at all with a situation that you feel needs a solution quickly without too much attention. Wishing you could complete a goal without any pausing. A reflection of time off from a relationship believing that a problem will resolve itself at your next meeting. Awareness of a goal taking a lot longer than you want it to.

Alternatively, dreaming about a subway train may reflect a private or personal perception of time passing. What you do or feel on the train reflects your waking life thoughts while waiting for something else to happen.

To dream of a subway train platform represents feelings about waiting responsibly for an opportunity to do something yourself and not have to tell anyone you are. Waiting to start or stop a progressive experience with intervals (dating, paycheck to paycheck, etc).

Example: A man dreamed of being on a subway train. In waking life he was trying to quickly clean up a regulatory issue with his business that required frequent pauses to be reevaluated by a professional to determine his new regulatory status based on changes he was making. He was annoyed at having to frequently stop the improvements to his business to get the reevaluation because it preventing him from cleaning up the regulatory problems in one quick action. The subway train in this case may have reflected the dreamer's wish to not have to be noticed getting the regulatory changes overwith as quickly as possible.

Example 2: A woman dreamed of being on a subway train enjoying talking to a younger man. The younger man then starts talking to younger woman and then the younger couple gets off the train leaving the dreamer crying that she won't see the younger man again. In waking life the woman felt emotionally detached from her spouse while worrying about her future. In this case the
subway symbolism may have reflected her feelings about enjoying not telling her husband what she was quickly planning on doing to leave him while withdrawn and emotionally detached from him.

Example 3: A man dreamed of being on a subway train and seeing his mother angry at him. In waking life he was experiencing fears about earning money consistently. In this case the subway train may have reflected his feelings about living paycheck to paycheck and not wanting to tell anyone he had money problems.

Example 4: A woman dreamed of being on the subway. In waking life she was aware of her friend being angry and distant with her. In this case the subway train may have reflected her feelings about time off from her friendship while privately waiting for the next meeting to fix the problem.

Example 5: A woman dreamed of being on a subway. In waking life she was dating a guy she hoped to have a serious long-term relationship with, but didn't believe he was serious.
