Party

To dream of a party represents festivity or behaving noticeably carefree with others. Being noticed by others as never having to care about problems at all. Feeling stimulated from recognition you are getting. Celebrating your success. Social interaction or having a good time with friends. An outgoing, friendly, or enthusiastic mood. Feeling good being social with others.

Alternatively, dream of parties may reflect sexual activity.

Negatively, a party may reflect you or others that are inappropriately enjoying themselves. A sign that your too enthusiastic about something that other people aren't. Going too far having a good time. Alternatively, a party may be a sign that you or others are arrogantly showing off or are enjoying being irresponsible. It may also reflect your perception of other people's celebratory behavior that is crossing a line and getting out of hand. frustration with other people enjoying themselves during a serious moment. Excessive sexual activity.

Example: A woman dreamed of a party in her home. In waking life she had just had sex for the first time with a new man she had been dating.

Example 2: A man dreamed of being at a party and introducing his dead brother to everyone by saying "This my dead brother who died 6 months ago." In waking life his brother had died 3 years ago and the man was having issues discussing his brother's death during social interactions to make friends.

Example 3: A woman dreamed of attending a police party and being asked to strip naked. In waking life she was felt she needed to reveal her true private feelings to her fiance for the first time, but didn't want to reveal too much to him so quickly. The police party in this case my have reflected her feelings about being engaged forcing her to open up and be more carefree about her true emotions.

Example 4: A young woman dreamed of being at a party and then feeling that someone was a jerk. In waking life she thought she was on good terms with someone they considered their best friend until she read their journal and saw a lot of negative things written about them.

Example 5: A young man dreamed of trying to get away from a party. In waking life they were trying to avoid a friend who was very outgoing and enthusiastic.
