Lonely
To dream of being lonely represents your dislike of being rejected or misunderstood. It may also reflect a longing to do something new. Depressions, regrets, feeling sad in waking life.
Alternatively, the dream may mirror waking life feelings of loneliness and be a sign that you need to open up more or try new things.
To dream of feeling alone represents feelings of rejection or a lack of support. You may feel that no one understands you or wants to help you. Feeling unliked.
Alternatively, feeling alone may be a sign that you feel the need face problems on your own. Feeling that others don't understand your current ideas or that you have prove yourself without anyone else's help.
Positively, feeling alone may reflect your wish for independence. Thinking that you don't need anyone else to succeed. Taking the initiative or doing things for yourself.
Example: A young boy dreamed of being lonely and being under his blankets in bed. In waking life his parents were getting divorced and he was hopelessly wishing they would get back together. Feeling lonely in bed in the dream may have reflected his feelings not being loved or supported like he was used to as his parents split. Feeling little while his family broke up. The dream may may have also pointed out his fear of communicating his feelings to his parents.
Example 2: A man dreamed of being inside an empty house and feeling cold and lonely. In waking life he had a serious illness that he believed to guarantee that he never had another relationship with a women ever again.
