Hugging

To dream of hugging represents a person, behavior, or situation that you are embracing. Feeling good being close to something or someone. Showing or receiving sympathy. Choosing to accept or take something into your life. Agreeing with someone or the embracing of ideas. Hugging may also reflect appreciation or relief you feel that a problem is over. Enjoying something you missed.

Positively, hugging could reflect feelings of relief or elation to be away from a dangerous or terrible situation. Appreciating what you have after experiencing something bad. Wanting eagerly to feel close to something positive after a crisis, trauma, or bad experience. Missing someone or something dearly.

Negatively, dreaming about hugging may reflect a wish for sympathy when you know you don't deserve it. Experiencing your enemies getting sympathy and support. Being too needy, insecure, sensitive, or desperate. Embracing bad behavior.

Alternatively, hugging may reflect having your feelings acknowledged by someone else. Ideas or experiences that give you comfort.

To dream of hugging Jesus Christ represents your embracing of sacrifice in your life. Feeling good about making a big change or getting rid of problems. Alternatively, it may reflect your acceptance of faith into your life.

Example: A woman dreamed of being told not to hug someone because they would come back to life. In waking life she was experiencing a death in her family and felt that embracing discussing the person's life only made them feel the full effect of their death more powerfully.

Example 4: A man dreamed of hugging his wife. In waking life she originally wanted
to leave him and get divorced after he cheated on her. When she got stuck on medical probation for a psychological problem and was forced to stay home unable to leave him he began to like having her in this state because it meant she could never leave him.

Example 5: A young woman dreamed of hugging a guy. In waking life she already had a boyfriend, but spent some time with friend whom she had sexual feelings for during a social gathering. The hugging may have reflected her happiness to have the sexually attractive guy around without doing anything serious about it.
