Golden Gate Bridge

To dream of the Golden Gate Bridge represents feelings about transitions in life where you feel that nothing can ever go wrong because you are supported by family life without a problem that makes you feel good deserving to believe in yourself being safe. Feelings about dreams coming true because family life supports you doing something different. Feeling good never being broke for the rest of your life because your family life supports you doing something different. Reassurance of a family support safety net during major transitions. Family life support as you transition or move on with your life.

Negatively, dreaming about the Gold Gate Bridge may represent behavior that takes family support during a transition for granted as you pursue personal ambitions or undergo significant life changes. Assuming that family support is unconditional even when making decisions that strain or test these relationships. Not communicating difficult situations or changes to those who provide family support during a transition because you fear disappointing or worrying them.

To dream of the Golden Gate Bridge being destroyed may represent feelings of insecurity or instability regarding major life transitions or changes without the reassurance of a permanent family safety net. Fears of losing a sense of support, security, or connection to family or loved ones during a period of upheaval or uncertainty. The collapse of a significant source of stability or the breakdown of important relationships or connections. Concerns about the potential consequences of taking risks or making decisions that could lead to the loss of familiar structures or support systems in one's life. The sudden and dramatic loss of what you perceived as a safe passage into the next phase of your life.

Example: A young man dreamed of seeing the Golden Gate Bridge wiped out by tidal waves and then losing his girlfriend in the waves. In waking life, he was about to graduate college, didn't know what he wanted to do with his life, and wanted to break up with his girlfriend. In this case, the Golden Gate Bridge being wiped out by waves may have reflected his thoughts about telling his parents and girlfriend about wanting to move to L.A. after college while expecting them to understand his life decision for his dreams for the future that ended up losing their support while causing the breakup with his girlfriend.

Example 2: A young man dreamed of walking across the Golden Gate Bridge with his ex-girlfriend on their "second first date." In waking life, he had talked to his ex-girlfriend through text messaging and then encountered her in real life on a city street. In this case, the Gold Gate Bridge may have reflected his feelings about his past relationship with his ex making him feel safe and familiar with her as an old friend while using the encounter to feel good not looking single until he found a new relationship to transition to.
