Surfing
To dream of surfing represents "going with the flow" in uncertain or negative situations. Allowing conditions to carry you through a situation. Casually adjusting to problematic situations. Comfortably "riding out" an uncertain situation. A daring attitude about facing difficult situations. Your ability to comfortably "ride out" risky or dangerous moments. You may feel the need to appear "cool", smooth, or laid back during a situation that makes you nervous. Not wanting anyone to notice your failures or nervousness while you project a calm attitude.
Example: A woman dreamed of surfing on top of a shark. In waking life she was allowing her lawyer to make all the decisions in her divorce based on whatever he thought was best. The surfing in the dream may have reflected her uncertainty about the divorce and she choice to use her lawyer to make the divorce situation a lot easier or "smoother" on herself.
Example 2: A man dreamed of seeing people surfing. In waking life he was trying very hard to get through tough social situations with a laid-back appearance so that people wouldn't notice any nervousness in his behavior.
Example 3: A man dreamed of seeing people surfing and then watching a huge wave with salt water poison a field In waking life he was trying to live his life as comfortably as he could with joint pain, until a diagnosis for arthritis shocked him and changed his life forever.
