Peeling
To dream of peeling represents awareness of something in your waking life slowly shedding or discarding of appearances. Difficult shedding old ways, habits, or conditions. Removing exterior pretenses. Unpleasant feelings about a manner of feeling changing. Unpleasant feelings about needing make efforts to separate something annoying or vain. Feelings about a difficult or messy separation of some kind. Frustrations with something that is not perfect anymore. Feelings about something looking ridiculous not letting go or moving on.
To dream of peeling the skin off food represents efforts to push beyond appearance to achieve a goal. Effort made to enjoy yourself or sustain yourself. Annoyance at how much work it takes to get to your goals.
To dream of peeling human skin represents feelings about unbearable insensitivity. Feelings about you or someone else that is intentionally being mean to someone. A total lack of concern for someone else's feelings.
To dream of peeling your face off represents feelings of slowly having to change your personality. Feeling that a situation slowly makes you reverse or change your attitude. Feeling that a situation slowly removed your ability to be yourself or act in the manner you want to. Overbearing influences that prevent you from deciding how you should present yourself to others. Example: A woman dreamed of needing to peel things off walls as a way to knock an entire building down. In waking life she was slowly trying to make herself look too unavailable to her boss as a means to get him to stop wanting to date her hoping it would make his advances on her impossible.
Example 2: A woman saw her skin being peeled off. In waking life she felt that a guy she was dating didn't want to be happy and always seemed to ruin both of their ability to feel good. In this case the skin peeling may have reflected her thoughts about being unable to protect her ability to feel good with the guy she was dating.
