In this case the Mexicans on the couch may have reflected aspects of the man's personality that were not afraid to take risks or not afraid go over the line believing in themselves to commit suicide.

Example 3: A man dreamed of seeing Mexicans. In waking life he had failed to keep himself off cigarettes with a new method of quitting he tried. In this case the Mexicans in the dream may have reflected his feelings about friends who respected themselves believing in themselves as smokers with no pressure to quit while the dreamer felt pressure to quit and didn't like himself as a non-smoker.

Mexico

To dream of being in Mexico represents a mindset that is aware that nothing cares about changing. People or situations in your life that are always embarrassing you by never doing what you think they're supposed to. Confronting people with ingrained attitudes or beliefs. Feeling surrounded by people who make you feel like that don't care about anything different at all.

Negatively, Mexico may reflect feelings of always confronting difficult people, resistance, or being consistently lied to. It may also reflect feelings that you don't belong or are out of your comfort zone.

Example: A man dreamed of walking around Mexico. In waking life a family member kept lying to him about a promise that was made. Mexico reflected the recurring feeling of disappointment that nothing would make this person change their mind.

Miami

To dream of the city Miami represents social interaction that's confident about liking what you are doing that isn't embarrassing anyone else with saying you aren't. Having to have a good time somehow and not wanting to talk about why you aren't. A desire for a more exciting social life or a need to let loose and have fun with others. Feelings about enjoying whatever is happening like it's the point of your life. Optimism, ambition, and resilience about saying your life is working out. Optimism and confidence about saying your life is working so everyone else will keep talking to you.

Positively, dreaming about Miami could reflect feelings of being on a winning streak, not being weak because you have to like who you are, or being very professional about having to make people like being near you without a problem.

Negatively, Miami in a dream could represent overdoing optimism about your life working out that doesn't care about other people's problems holding you back. Optimism, ambition, and resilience that doesn't think of other people first. Not talking to people about anything that isn't "happening." Excessive indulgence, recklessness, or failing to take something seriously when you should. Enjoying yourself too much to notice potential problems or responsibilities that you are neglecting. Social interaction that is not obsessed with anything little, empty, or losing because you have to respect your appearances of looking optimistic. A fear of missing out on social events or feeling left out of a group. Optimism about work life and keeping up appearances with coworkers that annoys you.

Example: A woman dreamed of seeing her Dad dead on a table at the hospital and then suddenly her Dad's eyes opened and he seemed annoyed with her bring up the subject of Miami as though it was secret he heard about. In waking life, the woman's Dad actually died that night and she actually had to see his dead body. Her mother was recovering from a bacterial infection after hip replacement surgery because the rehab clinic didn't take care of her properly. In this case, being accused of something in Miami may have reflected her feelings of about the spirit of her dead Dad seeing the truth of all matters and making her feel guilty about prioritizing her own enjoyment or personal matters over social interaction with her recovering mother.

Example 2: A woman dreamed of talking to her ex-boyfriend on the phone where he said he was in Miami. In waking life, her ex-boyfriend recently split up with her and left her pregnant on her own. In this case, the ex-boyfriend saying he was in Miami may have reflected her perception of her ex-boyfriend's carefree confident lifestyle post-breakup, seemingly indifferent to the pressing issues and responsibilities of fatherhood he left behind.

Example 3: A woman dreamed of wanting to book a flight to Miami for an event on the weekend, but was worried about needing to get time off work. In waking life, she was dealing with work schedules and parties that she didn't want to go to, but felt obligated to. In this case, Miami may have reflected her feelings about people at work expecting her to show up to social events and maintain a cheerful, outgoing demeanor despite her personal hesitations or discomfort because she didn't feel that enjoying work life was the point of her life.
