To dream of home improvements or renovating a house represents changes to the way you normally think, or overhauling outdated ideas or behaviors. Self-improvement or improving the way you normally go about solving problems. Making changes to your usual methods of dealing with people. Making a big change so that you never concern yourself with a problem ever again. Expanding your way of thinking. It may also reflect your attempt to make big changes to yourself to feel better about yourself.

Consider the type of improvement or location of the room for additional meaning. Renovating a bathroom may represent new ways of fixing problems you are considering. Renovating a kitchen may represent new ways of preparing for future situations. Fixing up your living room may represent new or better ways of relaxing you are considering.

Mobile Home

To dream of a mobile trailer home represents a perspective on a situation being temporary all the time. No concern for appearances while you endure a temporary situation.

Negatively, a mobile home may reflect embarrassment that problems that should be temporary are dragging out. Feeling that you are a loser permanently stuck in a situation that should be temporary. Bugs and insects in dreams are almost always hinting at people or situations that really annoy you. Irritations. Situations that annoy you that you have to put up with them. The dominant characteristics of the bugs in your dream are usually reflect what type of situation or behavior that annoys you.

Dreams with bugs or insects infesting the home commonly appear when a person has physical health issues. Waking state aggravation or infection. If the dreams are recurring it may be a sign that you should get a checkup or see a doctor.

Bugs dreams can point to health problems, people doing irritating things near you, inconsiderate remarks, or bad memories.

Example: A woman dreamed of her home being overrun by bugs. In waking life she had been diagnosed with fibromylagia. The bugs reflected her constant state of annoyance with being unable to do anything she wanted because we always always so tired or depressed.

To dream of the foundation of a home or building represents your core or fundamental strengths. A support system. Something you have or live with that gives you a sense of stability. The groundwork or framework of your success or power.

To dream of laying the foundation of a home or building represents important first steps being taken to insure stability for the long term. Getting yourself well prepared before making a big decision. Laying the groundwork of a relationship or project. Making good or powerful start.

To dream of a cracked or damaged foundation to a home or building represents feelings that your core strengths are effected. A powerful sense of support or accomplishment may feel compromised. It may also reflect feelings about a major oversight.

Example: A woman dreamed of seeing a foundation to a house ready for a home to be built on top of it. In waking life she prepared to leave her job for another job not realizing that her current boss would never sign her resignation form to release a pension. The foundation in this case may have reflected the dreamers naive feelings about being perfectly prepared with a "foundation to a new career" to build a new happy life without conflict.

Hometown

To dream of a house represents your mindset or perspective on a situation. Your take on the experience of current conditions. Beliefs or feelings that you are comfortable with. Your view of an experience that is familiar to you. Your opinion or beliefs about a situation that has become normal to you.

Negatively, a house may reflect a belief system or habit that you take for granted.

The type of house is symbolic for how you are thinking about a particular issue. The condition of the house reflecting your mental state as you experience something. Rich houses symbolize your perspective on issues where you are powerful and resourceful.
Poor houses represent your perspective on issues where you are powerless or emotionally weakened.

Example 3: A woman dreamed of her house being badly burned and then slowly being restored. In waking life she had sustained a serious injury to her arm and was awaiting surgery in the hospital.

Example 4: A woman dreamed of being in a house that was too small. In waking life she felt that a relationship with a married man was too difficult to achieve because she was too young and not rich enough to be with him. The small house may have reflected her perspective on her situation being a lot more restricted and difficult than she wanted it to be.

Intruder

To dream of an intruder represents feelings of violation, unwelcome change, or the breach of personal boundaries that makes you feel you have to protect yourself or take action to counter it. A sense of intrusion into your personal space, whether physical, emotional, or psychological. A situation where your safety, security, or sense of control feels compromised requiring you to scramble to keep it. Unresolved issues or conflicts that are intruding upon your peace of mind. A violation of personal boundaries that is creating tension.

Unwanted changes at work or in relationships often bring dreams of intruders. Unwelcome stress in your life.

Example: A man dreamed of an intruder entering his house. In waking life, he was beginning to feel that an extramarital affair he was having was beginning to encroach on his relationship with his wife. He felt that getting caught was becoming a very real dangerous possibility after never believing that it would be. He felt suddenly threatened by the possibility of being caught. In this case, the intruder entering his house may have reflected his feelings about the possibility of getting caught having an affair becoming a real problem that threatened or "intruded upon" the stability and security of his personal life and relationship with his wife.

Example 2: A man dreamed of a man breaking into his house. In waking life, he was practicing abstinence for his religious studies and couldn't resist it anymore. In this case, the intruder reflected his awareness of himself not being as sexually abstinent as he was supposed to be while feeling that he was robbing himself of feeling as spiritually strong as possible by violating his own rules. He may have felt that his sexual desire was inappropriately violating or "intruding" into his sense of normal safety regarding controlling himself when it wasn't supposed to.
