Example: A woman had recurring nightmares about crisis disaster situations that she had to get fully involved in. In waking life she was a psychologist that felt she was getting too emotionally involved in her clients personal problems.

Discharge

To dream of receiving a military discharge represents the end of a difficult period in your life or the release from a high-pressure situation. It can symbolize a sense of relief, accomplishment, or closure after completing a challenging task or overcoming a major obstacle. Alternatively, it may represent feelings of loss, disconnection, or displacement after leaving a familiar environment or community. It can also indicate a need to transition to a new phase of life or to let go of old habits and patterns of behavior.

To dream of a gun discharging represents a release or a sudden outburst of emotions, thoughts, or energy. Feelings about powerful choices or something someone has said being dangerous to other people. A sense of danger or fear of something destructive and unpredictable. An uncontrolled release of tension or stress, a sudden eruption of repressed anger or frustration, or a burst of creative inspiration. Feeling the need to "unload" or let go of something that is weighing you down. It could also represent the end of a struggle or the resolution of a conflict. A sense of finality or closure.

To dream of a liquid discharge coming out of your body represents feelings about jealousy that you want stopped. A sense of shame or embarrassment about something you've said or done that is now being exposed or revealed. Unhealthy or misguided attempts to solve a problem, leading to the discharge of negative consequences or emotions.

Example: A man dreamed of having a rash on his feet and washing it with toxic liquid that he thought was water making a discharge come out of the rash. In waking life he dropped out of university and was worried about how to reenroll. In this case the discharge from the rash may have reflected his feelings about worsened jealousy, shame, or embarrassment of not being able to afford University a second time after talking about enrolling again being easy.
