Dead

To dream of being dead represents feelings of loss or total failure. If your death takes on a more positive theme it may reflect positive changes or transformation. The end of friendships, relationships, or some important part of your life. A fear of change. Difficulty with a transition. The end of an era.

To dream of seeing dead people represents aspects if your personality that have completely changed or lost all power. It can also reflect your projection of other people that have changed or lost power. You or someone else may have experienced a noticeable change.

To dream of seeing dead loved ones who actually died in real life most likely reflect an aspect of your personality based on your most honest feelings about them. The fact that they are dead is most likely irrelevant unless it's the most powerful quality about them. For example, seeing your deceased father most likely symbolizes your conscience just as it would if he were alive.

If loved ones have recently passed away or you've been spending a lot of time remembering them then they may represent your grief or desire to be with them again.

Example: A woman dreamed of holding a dead baby in her arms. In waking life she had just received news from her doctor that she would be unable to ever bear children. The dead baby may have reflected her dead hopes to have a baby.

Example 3: A young man dreamed of seeing dead people he was trying to hide. In waking life he contracted a disease that was causing his hair to fall out and was desperate to hide it from everyone he knew by wearing hats.

Example 4: A young man dreamed of seeing his ex-girlfriend dead. In waking life he was very concerned about losing his friendship with his ex-girlfriend after he broke up with her.

Example 5: A man dreamed of seeing a dead bird. In waking life he accidentally met up with an ex-girlfriend whom he had strong feelings for and learned that she had moved on leaving him with no choice to get back with her. He realized all hope was gone to ever have a relationship with her ever again. The dead bird may have reflected his feelings about accepting the potential for reconciling be impossible.

Injury

To dream of an injury represents emotional wounding or embarrassment. Someone may have said something that hurt your feelings. Feeling damaged. Alternatively, am injury in a dream may reflect problems that have arisen from your hastiness in a situation. A sign that you need to slow down. It may also symbolize an accident, misfortune, or bad luck you've experienced.

Injuries could also mirror your fear of being emotionally hurt in waking life. A wish for someone or something to go away. Feeling some area of your life coming apart. Possibly a warning sign that you need to slow down or be more cautious.

It's common to dream of an injury around the time of an illness. It's very rare, but dreams of injuries to specific body parts have been reported to coincide with medical problems to those body parts. For example, a woman dreamed of being punched in her ribs and then got a medical checkup days later to discover that one of her ribs had been broken without her knowledge. Another man dreamed of being speared in his throat and then discovered days later that he had thyroid cancer. A woman dreamed of having her stomach attacked by wolves and then discovered days later that she had stomach cancer.

To dream of your mother being injured may represent feelings about your ability to intuitively make the right decisions being hampered. Bad luck or bad choices set you back.

To dream of your father being injured may represent embarrassments that have come to you due to bad decisions.

Pain

To dream of pain represents feelings of discomfort, emotional suffering, or distress in your waking life due to difficulties or loss. Emotional agony, possibly due to an injury, illness, or difficult life circumstances. Unresolved issues, inner turmoil, or the need to address your own limitations and needs. Emotional pain or humiliation. Putting up with something that doesn't feel good. Feeling hurt by relationship problems or rejection. Feelings of being limited or "held back." Feelings about a loss that makes you feel you can't come back from it.

Negatively, dreaming about pain may represent feelings of helplessness, suffering, or being overwhelmed by negative situations in waking life. A fear of facing hurtful truths, a tendency to hold onto suffering, or an inability to let go of what's causing harm. Chronic pain in a dream might represent an ongoing problematic situation, a sense of despair, or a fear of never recovering from a current setback. Difficulty recovering from a relationship breakup or friendship ending.

In this case, the shoulder pain may have reflected the emotional burden he carries, perhaps feelings of uselessness or frustration, associated with the aging process and the consequent loss of physical strength or ability. To dream of siblings represents an alternative or competing perspective.

Negatively, dreaming of a sibling may reflect unpleasant feelings about yourself losing.
