Statue Of Liberty

To dream of the Statue of Liberty represents feelings about aspirations for freedom, independence, and autonomy. Awareness of experiencing yourself or someone else being a perfect example of believing in freedom to encourage other people to believe in it as well. A perfect example of wanting to keep thinking of freedom all the time. A desire for personal or collective freedom. A sense of pride about freedom being protected. Thoughts about empowerment, liberation, and opportunity. A beacon of opportunity, welcoming new beginnings, and the promise of a better future. Inspiration, hope, and the power of standing up for what you believe in.

Negatively, dreaming about the State of Liberty may represent behavior that overdoes or wastes its time encouraging aspirations for freedom, independence, and autonomy when it isn't working. Feelings of disillusionment with the state of freedom or democracy in your waking life. Unfulfilled promises, restrictions on your personal liberties, or the struggle to maintain your values in the face of adversity.

Alternatively, the Statue of Liberty may reflect free enterprise and patriotism.

Example: A man dreamed of seeing the State of Liberty. In waking life, he was trying to convince his father to sell property so that the family could enjoy the money now instead of keeping it as a long-term investment. In this case, the Statue of Liberty may have reflected his attempt to be a perfect example of principles for aspirations for financial freedom and opportunity by releasing the family from its current real estate holdings.

Example 2: A young man dreamed of seeing an alien spaceship move passed the top of the Statue of Liberty while totally submerged underwater. In waking life, he experienced a powerful hallucination while sleep-deprived for days in which God told him that if he accepted that his soul was stuck in the 3rd dimension that all humanity could reach the 4th dimension safely. The dreamer accepted that and then God said "Okay you passed the test, you're soul isn't stuck." In this case, the State of Liberty underwater may have reflected his feelings about himself having aspirations for freedom, independence, and autonomy for all of humanity while being challenged by God to sacrifice himself as a perfect example of living for others.

Statues

To dream of a statue represents something in yourself or in your life that you idealize or admire. You are putting yourself, another person, or something in your life on a pedestal. Feelings about yourself being a perfect example for others to observe.

Negatively, dreaming about a statute may reflect vanity or narcissism about your physical appearance. Feelings about one's achievements being immortalized for others to observe. Feelings of emptiness that you are being observed with an unusual problem that can't be fixed. Lying to others that your life is a perfect example of functioning.

People who contract sleeping sickness or who live in coma's often dream of being living statues. This may reflect their awareness of themselves being paralysed while being observed by doctors.

Example: A wealthy woman from the late 1920's dreamed of becoming a living statue. Shortly, after the dream she contracted sleeping sickness and it ruined her life. At one point she was in a hospital for over 20 years without being aware of it. The statue symbolism may have reflected her awareness of herself being paralysed with doctors observing her and being unable to help her before she lost consciousness.

Example 2: A young woman dreamed of placing a baby statue next to a grave and then realized that it was the wrong grave. In waking life her new boyfriend had died. She thought her boyfriend was her soul mate and was going speak about that at the funeral, but then decided it wasn't appropriate. The baby statue in this case may have reflected her temporary feelings about wanting to discuss her relationship at the funeral as being a perfect example of fate that never got a chance to thrive.

Example 3: A young woman dreamed of seeing a statue of a young girl petting a cat. In waking life she was noticing problems with her boyfriend having sexual chats online, but choose to discuss her relationship with others as perfectly functioning.
