To dream of a workout represents feelings about practicing something to strengthen certain aspects of your life. A wish to be stronger in some area of your life. Feelings about effort, discipline, and dedication required to improve oneself or achieve a goal. Your commitment to self-improvement. Developing skills that are important to you. Your efforts to develop skills or competencies that are crucial for career advancement or job performance.
Negatively, dreaming about a workout may represent feelings about overdoing practicing to strengthen or improve yourself in some area of your life that's a waste of time. Frustration, exhaustion, or the fear of not being good enough. Concerns about whether the effort you are putting into self-improvement is actually paying off or whether you are pushing yourself too hard. Struggling with self-doubt or perceived inadequacies.
Example: A man dreamed of being in the gym with his brother and for some reason neither of them were able to workout. In waking life, he was worried he was falling behind spiritually and concerned about not being strong enough spiritually for a future job in the church ministry. In this case, being unable to workout may have reflected his feelings of inadequacy or doubt about his spiritual strength due to a lack of praying or church attendance.
