Grasshoppers
To dream of a grasshopper represents your feelings of annoyance with behavior that surprises you with never needing to think of you. Annoyance with a person or situation that confidently disregards your feelings, never involving you in their activities, and doesn't acknowledge your presence. Annoyance with a person or situation that has never thought of other people once after you thought it would once. An annoyance that insults you with never doing anything with you once you want to like it or want to control it. Annoyance with other people's freedom that doesn't even think of who you are once. Annoyance with behavior that doesn't want to see itself near you. Frustration and surprise at the unpredictability and lack of reciprocity in a situation.
Example: A young woman dreamed of a bug that was a cross between a grasshopper and a cockroach. In waking life, she was very worried about the prospect of her new home being haunted by a ghost. In this case, the insect being a cross between a grasshopper and a cockroach may have reflected both her frustration with anticipating a ghostly encounter that never transpired while also being annoyed by the undesirability of her house being haunted as the reason that previous owners keep selling it.
Example 2: A teenage boy dreamed of brightly coloured underwater grasshoppers. In waking life, he was looking for a girlfriend by talking to girls and meeting new people. In this case, the bright colored grasshoppers may have reflected his feelings of frustration and surprise at the unpredictability and lack of reciprocity he encountered while trying to form romantic connections.
